Not legal advice
School Place Appeal is an automated tool, not a solicitor or education law specialist. Nothing produced by this service — including any grounds assessment, appeal readiness score, or drafted appeal statement — constitutes legal advice of any kind.
England ordinary admission appeals only
This service covers ordinary England school admission appeals (oversubscription and procedural grounds decided by an Independent Appeal Panel) only. It does not cover EHCP placement disputes, which follow a separate statutory process (EHCP naming and annual review, with disputes going to the SEND Tribunal), and it does not cover Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, which have their own separate appeal systems.
No prediction of outcome
The appeal readiness assessment measures how well-prepared your case appears to be — evidence completeness, policy alignment, documentation quality and argument clarity — it is never a prediction of, or guarantee of, any particular outcome. Only the Independent Appeal Panel hearing your case can decide it.
An aid, not a guarantee
This service is intended only as an aid to help you understand which grounds may apply to your case and put your own circumstances into a clear, well-structured appeal statement. It is not a guarantee of accuracy, completeness, or of any particular outcome.
Your own discretion and risk
You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and satisfying yourself that any Appeal Pack produced reflects your family’s actual circumstances before you submit it, and for independently verifying deadlines, submission methods and contact details directly with your local authority. Use of this service is entirely at your own discretion and risk.
No responsibility accepted
We accept no responsibility or liability for the content, accuracy, or outcome of any Appeal Pack generated using this service, or for the outcome of the appeal itself. This disclaimer does not affect any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
